:::Makan Makan:::

BEWARE!! There will be lots of makan makan pictures in different places as I am too lazy to blog one by one, and hence the pictures are stacking up like mountain. Thus, because of my laziness, I will only post a few pictures from each locations. Bleh

Okay, back to the main topic. First station, Restoran Talipon. Had a mixed of BBQ and steamboat buffet dinner with the usuals, James, Nic, and aYee. Let the picture do the talking.

An introduction picture of our table :D

Lamb, pork, chicken, squid, ham, hotdogs, mushrooms, and the list goes on and on and on...

Nic with the carrot juice

James busy eating and no time to look at the camera

Second station: Seoul Garden in Mahkota Parade, Malacca. Another mixture of BBQ and steamboat buffet at a student price, RM 17 per person. The restaurant is named after a place in Korea, so i thought it will be something like Korean BBQ, but what I saw was all different types of marinated chicken, beef and lamb. Well, I thought I was having a chicken fiesta there.

Seoul Garden

Our grilled pot (I don't know what should I called this)

First round

While waiting for the meat to cooked

Drinking orange juice

Waiting impatiently for the meal to cook

Our meal includes a free flow of drinks

And also unlimited desserts

Overall, I am not quite happy with this restaurant, as the services are bad. When the drinks are finished at the counter, not one of the staffs care to refill it, and caused me to drink other juices other than orange juice. While I am eating, all I see is the staffs nicely enjoying their food behind my table, and laughing like nobody business. Can't even care for the feelings of the customers. And whenever we put some meat to the pot to be grilled, the drops of oil splash out and hurt my hand. This can't be happening! It is not user-friendly at all. Compared to this, BBQ Plaza is 100th times better! At least, I won't get burned by grilling the meat. No second time for this restaurant.

Next station, MMU's Creative Art Club Annual Dinner at Emperor Hotel, Malacca. The truth is I don't know anyone from this club and I attend this dinner because of my BF, and another reason is I thought I can dressed up nicely to attend some high-class dinner function. But, who knows the dinner ended up at a 3-star hotel's cafe (not even in the conference hall). Dissapointed, but what to do, I am already there. Initially I thought of wearing a dress, but I ended up wearing a blouse and long pants as I am being told no one will wear formally for the dinner.

Trying out the scene outside the cafe

Relaxing in the hotel's lobby couch

Next station: Penang Village in Berjaya Times Square. Had gone to a one-day shopping trip with my mom and sis, Kylie. Thus we ended up eating in Penang Village as Christine (currently working in Penang Village as an assistant accountant) asked us to go and have a try. Well...

Early in the morning before head to the bus station

(can't get the connection between Aladdin's magic lamp and Penang =.=)

Can't wait to taste the food

looks artistic

Soya Cincau, comes with the set meal

Penang Fried Kueh Tiao

The set meal cost RM 9.90 and after tax, it cost more than 10 bucks. You can judge yourselves whether it is expensive. Taste-wise, ok-ok lah. The kueh tiao comes in a bundle-like.

Next next station: Miu Kai, Sri Petaling. Had dinner with James and aYee and I just took the picture of my own dish.
Lightings

My ginger fish fillet rice.Taste very nice :D

The reflection of lightings on the table..artistic..

Next next next station: Yeh Lai Shiang, Mentakab. It's a mother's day celebration dinner, and supposingly we planned to eat in Tong Kiew, but as usual, it is closed so we ended up eating here.

Sweet and sour fish (i don't know what is this fish called in English)
We called it Hong Shao She Pan

All the dishes of that day
Clockwise: Hong Shao She Pan, Suan Mei Pai Gu, Diao Pian inYam, Jiang Chong Tian Ji, Salted Fish with Cai Dan, Jiang Pao Sheng Chang

We keep on wondering what is this, and at first we thought it is the tortoise shell.
Well, at the end, we conclude it should be the Water-fish shell :D

Overall, the dishes taste nice, and there goes the Mother's Day Celebration with our lovely mother.

Due to some other technical problem, this post had been kept for at least a week in the draft box and now, at last I managed to post it up. But I kinda forgotten whether there is still any pictures which I haven't posted. Anyway, will put up the updates if I found any. Hate the life without internet connection *grrr*

.::Movie Updates::.

At last, I managed to squeeze some time to watch 2 movies after the last movie I watched in Malacca, Fast and Furious 4. Forget to blog about it tho'. Pai-seh. This time, I watched Night at the Museum 2, in Malacca also with my BF. We had quite an expectation on this movie, as we also had watched Night at the Museum 1. Overall, this movie is funny, but not as funny as I had expected. I felt the only funny part is the character of the Prince of Egypt, Kahmunrah who wanted to have his throne back. Everytime he started to speak, I started to laugh :D Oh ya, I am impressed with the big museum where they filmed the movie. When can I go there......

Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian

I had watched Angels and Demons too, in KL, despite being stopped by my BF. I don't care. I am a fan of Dan Brown's novels, and I wanted to watch this movie badly (I had watched Da Vinci Code, too). Surprisingly, this movie is not as boring as the Da Vinci Code, even though I am not familiar with all the churches being mentioned in the movie, but I still vaguely remember the storyline of this movie, based on my understanding on the novel. It's quite a long movie tho', but I am satisfied. Anyway, need to thank Esha again and again, for lending me her books, both Da Vince Code and Angels and Demons way back years ago. Now, I am able to watch the movie. Satisfied to the max!

Angels and Demons
That's all bout the movie updates. Will blog about my trip to the Elephant Farm soon..

am BACK!

Sorry for neglecting the blog for such a long time. Lack of internet connection at home. Will posting up few posts soon, as pictures are still not available for the time being. Soon! Soon!

Updates of me:
1) Been starting to wear contact lenses, felt great and have full freedom!

2) Since I'm wearing lenses, I can wear sunglasses too! Shopped in Vincci and bought a pink sunglass! Waiting to wear it in PD trip this weekend! Syiok-nyer

3) I've been lepak-ing in Malacca now, and will be back to Kl in few more days. had stomach-ache today and BF gave me some medicines. Was shocked, and only realised he bought it purposely for me just in-case, as I always have stomach-ache while I am in Malaca. Is it just me, or the food here have problem? Anyway, am touched for the medicines. Am drinking the dehydration salt water now (orange flavour)

4) Bought a pair of sandals in Vincci as well, for the trip! 50% discount, thus can't resist myself

5) Bought another scarf, as I left it in my hometown. Jackets and sweaters are way too heavy to bring around.

6) Bought a new handbag, as my old ones had spoilt :P

7) Tried Nandos for the first time in Malaca with BF. Not bad :D

8) Bought a pair of odm watches. Fake-ones (no money-lah) :P Pink one for me, and white one for BF

9) Watched Night at the Museum 2 in Dataran Pahlawan, and looking forward to watch Angels and Demons in KL soon!

10) Watched a lame movie at home name Austin Powers. Wonder who will be so retarded to watch this movie in the cinema =="

That's all for now! Will be back soon!

Me with my FYP

After we were done printing and photostat-ing our FYP, we headed towards the next mamak shop to have a drink and went back home, enjoying the remaining of the day as I still have 2 assignments to be submitted on the next week. My life is full of assignments. Sien dao ==||. After a week, I went back to college to collect my FYP hardbound! Snapshots of my hardbound in the library :D

After a week, my hardbound version of FYP

Posing nicely with my FYP :D

Now, as to date 04/05/2009 I am officially free from assignments, but I still have another FYP presentation to go. The admin haven't post up the schedule. Blah. I don't know I need to wait until when. Been making spider webs in my room lately, got nothing to do. SIEN!

p/s: oh ya, I have not start doing my presentation slides and I am complaining I have nothing to do. Wuahahaha~

DInner @ Station 1 Cafe

OMG, I have so much to blog. I wonder whether I have the enthusiasm to do so or not. Haha. I even wonder can I finish blogging this post. As from the title above, the post is about dinner at Station 1 Cafe around Kuchai Lama. As usual, the gang is my housemates, Nic and aYee together with James. It's a nice and long dinner, chatting as much as we can as usual :D

As usual, the introduction~aYee

The environment

their Jasmine tea

me with my white coffee
(need to stay awake to study at that time)

James~always busy with his phone (big business)

aYee's Special Chicken Chop

James and mine's Grilled Chicken Chop rice

Nic's tomyam meehoon

aYee~enjoying her meal

Cam-whoring (we're already used to it)

The food was okay-okay only-lah. Nothing much to brag about. When we reached, the customers are not that much, but towards the later night, more and more people came, and it's full of smokes (as usual). Opposite of the restaurant is the Kuchai Lama night market. We intended to go for a walk, but at the end we decided not too, as we are too full and lazy to move :D
